About Me

Hiya, I'm Starakex (She/Her, Elle). 30s. I'm bilingual French + English. I decided to carve out a little corner of the web in early 2025 on Neocities, away from ever worsening social media, so I could display all the craft stuff I've been doing over the years. Expect costumes, photography, and lots of miscellaneous physical art, as well as some occasional digital art! I want to live a life full of self-expression and meaningful connections, and I'm trying to figure out my place on this planet.

I'm deeply passionate about mascots, video games, exploration, horror, and those weirdly lonely 2000s era renders. I grew up on forums and fansites, so returning to form through a personal Neocities website was right up my alley. I regularly get emotional over pixels and I love when fictional characters go through the wringer.

I've got a whole lot of interests, but some of my favorites include diving way too deeply in my childhood video games, going on at length about the history of costuming and fandom, and finding liminal spaces and cool locations in my daily life. And uh, a lot of video games. If I could pick one place I'd want to live in it'd be Sonic Adventure's sunset version of Mystic Ruins (silly chanting OST included.)

Let's hope we can find peace away from the daily ragebait scrolling session and be a little more ourselves again. (As they say, we can "touch grass" together.)
