Shadow the Hedgehog Battle Jacket

I made this jacket way back in 2022; it's a thrifted denim jacket that I decked out with studs, paint, patches and pins. Originally, it was made for a Shadow the Hedgehog cosplay, but I felt the whole costume looked terrible, so I reused the wig wefts for other projects, and those other parts in my closet as regular clothes... But I loved this jacket so much, I kept it around as my outrageous nerdy jacket and kept adding to it. (Now I've got a new jacket for the second version of this cosplay with fur trims galore.)

I've taken it at just about every Sonic-themed events where a costume wasn't feasible since; at movie screenings, fan gatherings, the Sonic Symphony concert... It's just a great jacket, and I think it's cool that it's also living my real life experiences with fandoming, through every addition (and lost studs). My fav detail includes commissioning Melonati Patch to create Project Shadow patch... and roughly covering up the originally painted design with one of SaiyanHajime's patches, I also fondly remember spending an hour removing every armcuff studs to replace them with flatter ones so I'd stop poking myself by accident!

I looked cool as hell at Sacrilege Studio's Sonic Flash Day with "my wife" little Shadow, for sure.
